CHILDREN’S CHURCH EACH SUNDAY All children
during the 10:30 service will be invited to the
fellowship hall following the Children’s sermon.
Parents may pick up their child following worship

ALTAR FLOWERS placed Sunday, November 8 in honor
of Hayley Wayne for her 13th birthday by her
family.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNERS

reservation. Menu this week is Shepherd’s Pie. We will
gather at 6:00 pm in the fellowship hall.
UPPER ROOMS FOR NOVEMBER AND
DECEMBER are now located in the foyer of the
church. Thank you for your donation of seventy-five
cents
per copy.
LADIES, LADIES We will
begin a Beth Moore Bible Study on January 11. This
study will be “Fruit of the Spirit”. If you are
interested in participating
you may contact Marion Claire Wicker at 658-8021.
WHY STEVEN MINISTRY? We have
many needs for care in our congregation and community:
people experiencing divorce, grief, a terminal illness,
loss of a job, relocation, an empty nest, retirement,
hospitalization, loneliness, and many other stresses or
challenges. Stephen Ministry expands the care
our church can offer by equipping and organizing members
to use their gifts to provide Christian care. This
gives us a larger pool of people with the gifts,
skills, and calling to bring Christ’s love and care to
those who most need it. We are planning to begin a
training class for our first group of Stephen Ministers
in January. Keep an eye out for more information!
RETHINK EVANGELISM CONFERENCE
Saturday, November 14 – 9 AM – 3 PM – The Alexandria
Riverfront Center.
CHURCH MUGS AVAILABLE Those
of you who have been asking for the mugs they are
finally available. Following both services they will be
made
available for purchase in the fellowship hall. The cost
is $5.00 each. There is a limited quantity for sale so
purchase yours today.
CONSECRATION SUNDAY Next
Sunday, November 15. We would like for everyone to be
in attendance. Reservation cards will be passed out
this
morning for the catered luncheon in the new fellowship
hall. You may drop cards in the offering plate.
UNITED BLOOD SERVICES blood
drive has been canceled for Nov. 8. We will re-schedule
for a later date.
OFFICER’S MEETINGS Monday,
November 9th. Finance Committee will meet at
6:00 pm. Church Council will meet at 7:00 pm. We will
meet in the
Choir Room.
