Many organizations use our space for meetings and gatherings. We provide space for AA meetings on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Other local groups use the church from time to time. Crossroads Emmaus holds training meetings in our church. We also provide space for Conference and District meetings because of our central location. We have a team of volunteers who serve at The Table of Plenty about every other month. The Table of Plenty is held at the First Parish Church, York, and serves dinner every Tuesday evening from 5:30 - 6:30 to any and all people who come. Each meal is prepared and served by volunteer teams from the local churches and community organizations. Other local outreach ministries include: the York County Habitat for Humanity, Caring Unlimited (a battered women's shelter), Crossroads, and the Community Thrift Shop. Nationally and worldwide our missions include the United Methodist Economic Ministries, Salem, ME; Red Bird Mission, KY; Heifer Project International, and other various Advance Specials. Through the Board of Global Ministries, we have a covenant relationship with missionary Dr. Belinda Forbes, who has a dental ministry with Acción Médica Cristiana in Managua, Nicaragua. We are also the proud “parents” of two adopted Haitian children, Alerte and Jesula. A monthly collection is taken to help support these two children.
