1838 Settlers worshipped in a house 2 miles NE of Wyanet

1855 Methodist Society organized and Sunday School established

1861 First building for Methodist Episcopal Church, Arch St.

1865 Parsonage completed, cost $1000

1881 Present lot purchased; Ladies Aid Society organized

1889 Present cornerstone laid-on September 21

1890 New building dedicated, cost $5500

1891 Women’s Foreign Missionary Society organized;

Old church moved and remodeled for parsonage

1896 Church burned on January 24;

New church built and dedicated on September 13

1907 Church redecorated and new pews installed

1909 Band of Willing Workers organized

1919 Excavation to add basement for kitchen and classrooms

1922 Tn-Sigma organized

1940 50th anniversary of church building and

50th anniversary of Rev. Aylesworth in ministry celebrated

1941 Woman’s Society of Christian Service organizec

1949 Dedication of Hammond organ and chimes

1955 Centenniel Celebration of M.E. Church organization;
