It was God's love and God's vision that stirred the Spirit in the Colliers area as early as 1786. Francis Asbury sent our traveling evangelists who preached in the Olde Chapel on the Greathouse property. Since then, the Methodist Church has had different buildings in different locations along the Harmon creek, but always with the same purpose: to change lives by and for Jesus Christ. The dedication of circuit riders led to permanent pastorates for the Colliers Methodist Church in 1834. Many pastors have shepherded the flocks through the cycles of growth and decline, baptisms, weddings, funerals, repairs and additions.

I am priviledged to be the most recent pastor appointed to Colliers United Methodist, We celebrate the rich traditions of the church, are encouraged by the many workers who give of their time and talents, love to hear the laughter of many children, and thank God for the growth we are seeing in the congregation. Our new logo is "The Little Church with a Big Heart". Love is shared in generous amounts and hope is bright for our future. The invitation is for you and your family to help us continue the work of changing lives for and by Jesus Christ.
