"I've been a part of Wesley UMC's staff since 1997."

Experience / Vision for Ministry:

"From the time I was born, my Mom and Dad felt music was in my heart and soul. I wiggled and swayed to music and seemed to feel it down to my toes. Piano was my only interest as a toddler and people seemed amazed at my ability. Before I left Kindergarten, I was offered a scholarship in a Music College, which my parents wisely declined. I gave many early recitals which I truly enjoyed (except in front of my peers). As my voice developed into a high Coloratura range, I added singing in my performances and especially enjoyed learning Opera.

"Finishing college, with the help of scholarships from my early years, I eventually received both my Bachelor and Master Degrees. I still craved to learn more, and my search for musical knowledge led me to gain 45 graduate credits from 13 Universities throughout the country.

"I always expected to be a performer, but my anxious Mother strongly suggested I would need a solid career and should take more education courses. My first year as a practice teacher I felt I was still on stage, performing for my students, but the best part was the beautiful children I was blessed to work with and I taught every grade (1-12) until I became Choral Director for grades 4 - 12. The Musicals, Concerts, Classical major works, and my love for Jazz brought my students a lot of recognition. Our Vocal Jazz Choir gained them fame with even a presentation for a President's wife, Nancy Reagan, and performances for Massachusetts and National Conferences, plus an acclaimed European Concert Tour. I was fortunate to establish and direct the Tufts University Jazz Choir and along with a busy concert schedule they were invited to sing at Boston Pops. The students I've directed have given me so much joy and love, and continue to share their friendship throughout the years that have followed.

"All through my life, I performed in churches and dedicated myself for many years as a Choir Director., I continually give thanks to God for the many joys I have had throughout my life, and our Framingham Wesley Choirs continue to bless me with their accomplishments, friendship, and dedication. It is my sincere desire to constantly enrich our Church service with beautiful and inspirational music. And with our wonderful choirs we will hopefully continue to dedicate a gift of music to enrich our worship services with praise and dedication to God."
