MUSIC

Music is an important part of the overall worship services at Wesley UMC. Julie Rundlett is our choir director and she coordinates the sanctuary (adult) .

The Sanctuary Choir sings every Sunday, Labor Day through Memorial Day Weekends. They rehearse on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Our choir makes a joyful noise unto the Lord utilizing many different musical styles, including a cappella, gospel, international and traditional. The choir also performs a major concert every spring.

The Wesley Bell Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. (September - May) and provides special music at various times throughout the year including Easter and Christmas. Bi-annually, the Wesley Bell Choir attends a Bell Festival for Bell choirs in the New England Area where there are classes to enhance bell ringing techniques, social activities to meet other ringers. The Festival ends with a concert performed by all of the bell choirs en masse.

The Sanctuary and Bell Choirs have also performed at the holiday concerts at Faneuil Hall in Boston.

Anyone who would like to become part of our choirs is welcome to join at any time! During the summer months, various choir members, congregation members, and special guests provide the music for the worship service.

Youth Choirs

Wesley UMC has very active children's and teen choir programs. Each choir sings during the service on a monthly basis from September - June. During Advent and Lent, the choirs sing weekly. Rehearsals are held for the children's choir on Sundays from 11:00 to 11:30 AM. Teen choir rehearses Sundays from 12:00 - 12:30.

Julie Rundlett, a member of our congregation, directs the Children's Choir. Any child age 4 - 12 (completing 5th grade is welcome). Julie also oversees the Teen Choir which accepts any Youth in grades 6 - 12.
