Woodmar Ministries

Kids Closet – Closet provides used children’s clothing to those in need. Next clothing give away is May 8, 2013 from 9-11AM. Donations of gently used clothes from sizes infant-teen are always welcome! No used underwear or socks, please. We do not have room for toys. Questions about Kids Closet can be emailed to WUMCkidscloset@gmail.com.

Paws for Peace - A group of pet owners committed to meet the needs of the congregation and the community through nursing home visitation, grief support, memorial services, annual pet blessings (in October), and drives to collect supplies for the local Humane Society. See our Facebook page - search for Paws for Peace and look for the black paw print.

Several circles meet monthly to serve the congregation and community, offer Christian fellowship, and discuss issues facing the Church.

Prayer Chain

When notified of a specific prayer request, those on the chain add that person or situation to their prayer time and call the next person on the chain to inform them of that request. Call the church office to make a request or become part of a chain.

Moms Group – Tuesday at 12:00 PM (During the school year)

Our preschool mothers meet for fellowship, support and projects. All mothers are invited. Children play in the same room while moms meet. Call office for schedule.

Music

Chancel Choir –Rehearses on Sunday mornings and sings at the 10:00 AM service.

Support group for those recovering from mental/emotional difficulties. Meets in basement room at southwest side of the building (off Southeastern Avenue).
