At "Our Maker's Pantry," and "Kimberly's Kitchen" we have been very, very busy. We are really seeing the effects of the world's economy. We have so many people who can't afford food for themselves or their families. With the help of many wonderful church members, friends and family we are able to help GOD'S children who have fallen on hard times. This could be any of us, at any given moment who could find ourselves unable to find work or need help because the paycheck just doesn't stretch far enough, or various other reasons. We want everyone who comes to us to know we understand and that we are there because we love them, and I do truly love each and everyone who comes through the door. We don't want to rush them in and rush them out. We want to take the time to know the person, and let them feel the love we have to share.
I just recently realized how many people go for days and weeks without human contact. How horrible! There is no reason for this to happen, and I am so glad when I see our clients come in and sit down and spend time with us and it is even more wonderful to see them make friends with each other, and this happened in a big way today. I was so happy!! I didn't do much handing out of food, GOD'S angels, came in from our church, Woodlawn Church, Green's Chapel Church, and Southeast Christian Church and they worked very hard at stocking shelves and filling bags. I got the joy of talking to all of these wonderful people. You could feel the Lord in the midst of everything that was going on. What a privilege to talk to all of these interesting , wonderful people and to know thy look forward to coming back next week, not so much as for the food, but because they feel the presence of the LORD. I thank the LORD for the opportunity to serve HIM in this way.
We ran low on our supplies for the first time a week or so ago and word was sent out that our supplies were down and within a few days food was pouring in. GOD truly blesses HIS pantry. Today for the first time I realized how important fellowship and friendship is to a person.
I am so glad our beautiful daughter wanted this with all of her heart, I know she is in heaven watching over us as our special angel! I would like to thank The Good LORD, our beautiful daughter, Kimberly, my husband, Wayne and my Aunt Mae, who have been there faithfully through it all! Also, I thank all of GOD'S children who have helped with this in any way!! May GOD bless all of you!
