WOUNDED FOR ME
A. “He was wounded for our transgressions”
B. Who is this One who was wounded?
1. One who was pierced (Zech. 12:10)
2. One who wore a crown of thorns (Matt. 27:29)
3. Ones who was nailed to the cross (John 20:25)
4. One who was pierced by a soldier’s spear (John 19:34)
C. Why was He wounded?
1. “For our transgressions”
2. He had done nothing to deserve death (Luke 23:41)
3. His wounds were because of His love for you and me.
D. Christ was our substitute
E. The wounds of Christ were prophesied (Zech. 13:6)
F. The wounds of Christ were in God’s plan for our salvation.

PEACE FOR ME
A. “The chastisement of our peace was upon him”
B. The price for our peace.
C. Our sins had separated us from God.
D. We were enemies of God (Rom. 5:10)
1. This enmity was put away at the cross (Eph. 2:13-17)
2. Peace was made for us at the cross (Col. 1:20)
E. We have peace with God through faith in Christ. (Rom. 5:1)
CONCLUSION:
Wounds, Bruises, and Stripes
1. All these to make us whole
2. Dead to sin and alive to righteousness (1 Peter 2:24)
His suffering and death for our peace.
