SUMMER CHRISTIAN EDUCATION PROGRAM
Our Summer activities include:
4th OF JULY FLOAT– We start work on our float for Windsor Heights
4th of July Parade, on June 28th. Our theme this year is: “God
Bless America,” and we will again walk in the parade beside the float, handing
out flyers, with the children riding in the pickup and tossing out candy.
We plan to be at Todd Treese’s garage again, and will have another of our
great Hot Dog Roasts one night! Plan on joining us as we put the float
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – Sunday, July 16th through Thursday,
We have our Meal at 5:30 pm, and Bible School from 6-8 pm for all ages! –
Cost for Children is $6.00.
Power X-press Children-4years through 5th Grade--are going on an Archaeological
Dig with “Adventure of the Treasure Seekers--Exploring God’s Promises!”
Each day we will dig through the Bible and through the Sand to find God’s
promises and discover new Treasures!
Youth- 6th Grade through High School- will join Pastor Bob and other
youth leaders for hands-on experience in outreach in the Des Moines area
as they are “Living Faithfully With God and Neighbor.”
Adults – Join the adult class for “I Will Be With You:--Exploring
You will dig into God’s Promises and how we can learn about, live, and witness
God’s Word. Cost of the book is $9.50.
WORK TRIP – July 24th through the 27th. This year 23 youth and
adults are going to Duluth for our Work Trip! We will be working at
different areas each day—sometimes working with children, sometimes working
at Food Banks, etc. This is a great learning experience in outreach
to other people in need!
CHURCH CAMPS – We have many different kinds of camps available for
children, youth and adults—everything from Horse Camps, Farm Camps, Fishing
Camps, Extreme Camps, etc. We pay half the camp fees up to $200.
There are books available at the Church Office.
Put Sept 9th and 10th on your calendar and plan to join us for our FALL
KICKOFF—SUNDAY SCHOOL at our WESLEY WOOD FAMILY RETREAT! It will
start at 2 pm Saturday, Sept 9th and run through lunch on Sunday Sept 10th.
