We Need Your Help!

Fundraising is Required to Meet the Church Budget Needs and We are Putting the “Fun” Back into Fundraising!!

TeamOps is an organization owned and managed by Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots.  Its mission is to provide a safe and secure environment for all fans that attend any event at Gillette Stadium.  TeamOps personnel provide the stadium security personnel, ushers, parking lot attendants, elevator operators, on field security personnel and other staff members who work all events at Gillette Stadium and at Boston College football, basketball and hockey games.

WUMC, being a non-profit organization, can join TeamOps for selected events and get paid for volunteering folks to work at the events.  For 2007, every person who volunteers his or her time to TeamOps will earn $9.50 per hour for our church.  Some of the events we plan to work at include the Kenney Chesney concert, the Jimmy Buffet concert, some New England Patriots games and some BC football games.

Volunteer groups like ours will receive assignments to work in the stadium and be supervised by TeamOps staff before and during the events.  Minimal training is required and will be provided by WUMC folks at the church.  We have had two training dates already and many more will be scheduled.  In order to work as a TeamOps volunteer, you must attend our training, which will last no more than an hour; childcare will be provided.  If you attend the training and don’t like what you hear, there is no commitment to follow through with volunteering for the church to work any TeamOps events.

We encourage you to bring family and even friends to work – the more folks who do this the more money we can raise for our church programming.  Every volunteer must be at least 18 years of age.  So, come to the training and find out more about what we will be doing.
