Lay Servant Academy - Spring 2013

The Board of the Wilmington District Lay Servers/Lay Speakers Academy, invites you will take advantage of the courses offered this year. Unfortunately, multiple demands and commitments on instructors' schedules have necessitated our providing limited locations for course offerings; specifically, three courses at Christ Church in Elsmere and five courses at Elkton.

Please fill out your application form completely. This information is very important in keeping our records up to date. Your correct phone numbers and E-mail addresses are especially helpful should we have need to contact you with important information. Also be sure to indicate a second choice, a course which you would attend in the event we don't have enough people register for any particular course. We will notify you of the course you are in the night of the class when you register at the church. If a course is canceled, however, for lack of interest, and you have failed to fill in a second choice, we will call you to see if you wish to attend a different class. Filling in the form with a second choice helps us and saves the time needed by the registrar to call individuals.

It is important that you register early on. The sooner you register, the more you help us order the proper amount of manuals and materials for any given class the Board provides. We ask that you please have your forms and payment submitted to our registrar by March 28, 2013.

Remember, you do not have to be a Lay Server/Lay Speaker or even wish to be certified in order to take any of these courses. All classes are open to anyone who wishes to enlarge their understanding of any of the subjects offered. If you are a Lay Server/Lay Speaker and you know of someone who might enjoy taking one of these courses, please contact our registrar, Brother Buddy Bratton and he will send you a registration form for them to use. We sincerely hope to see you in one of the classes this year!
