Welcome to the web page for
If you are looking for individualized Biblical instruction for your children, our Sunday School is for you. We presently offer three classes with a specific emphasis on helping our children learn the importance of the stories in the Bible for their daily living. During worship the children are invited to join the pastor up front for WIGGLE TIME. Sunday afternoon at 4PM, the youth group gathers to further grow in their faith and/or to participate in mission related activities.
Every Thursday morning our pastor holds a Bible study class. Topics can range from specific people in the Bible, to Books of the Bible, to contemporary issues that effect us and our response as people of God.
The first Monday evening of each month the "Men of the Church" meet for a fellowship meal and a program. The second Monday evening of each month the United Methodist Women meet for devotions, program emphasis, and fellowship. Both of these groups are very involved in mission projects.
Once a month the senior members of the church gather at noon for YOUNG AT HEART. It's a time of fellowship centered around a meal. Each month there is a different program which can either be informative about our community or illustrate a craft or someone's particular hobby.
The fourth Wednesday evening of the month, the church family gathers for an ALL CHURCH DINNER. It's another way that the individuals and families are able to come together for fellowship.
Believing that each of us needs to respond to the grace of
God, our church family both supports and participates in local and national
missions. Mission groups participate in the South
Carolina UM Salkahatchie
projects each summer as well as helping rebuild family lives in
Recently we began Home Study groups wanting to offer opportunities where on a bi-weekly basis, smaller groups can come together for study, prayer, fellowship, and service.
Williston UMC may be small in number, but we are committed to serving Christ wherever and however we can. Come join us!

As early as 1953 there were thoughts among
leaders of the church that the congregation downtown had outgrown itself and a
new location was needed. This soon became a reality as the new church was
erected in two phases, one in 1953 and the last phase in 1956. The first
service of Worship in the new Sanctuary was held on August 12, 1956, with the
Reverend H. Levy Rogers, pastor, presiding. In 1954 the church relocated the
parsonage and on December 10, 1954, a contract was let to purchase the present

present facilities of the church property by insulating the church, updating
the electrical system and installing the necessary heating and cooling systems
