Fees

Minister: The suggested honorarium is $300.00 (minimum).

Wedding Coordinator: Bringing valuable assistance to your wedding will be the Wedding Coordinator, Gwen Hinton (757-259-0318), who will instruct the ushers, assist the Bride’s attendants and familiarize the wedding party with the facilities. Also, the Wedding Coordinator will see that all is ready for the rehearsal and will assist with the tasks required for your ceremony. The fee for the Wedding Coordinator is $150. You should contact the coordinator at least 2 months prior to your wedding date to set up an appointment for a walk-thru visit of the church.

Custodian: The availability of the custodian to give access to the church facilities and in preparing them for use during your rehearsal, wedding ceremony and reception is valuable. The schedule of payment for custodial service is as follows: Wedding: $150.00; Wedding/Reception: $250.00. For weddings scheduled after 6:00 p.m., an additional charge of $75.00 applies.

Use of the Building: Use of our facilities incurs the following fees: Nave (Sanctuary):$750.00 - Chapel: $200.00 - Fellowship Hall: $1000.00 - Kitchen: $250.00. If both the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall are rented for $1500.00, a 15% discount is given to equal $1275.00.  If you are a member or the child or grandchild of a member of Williamsburg UMC, these fees are waived.  The curfew for the Fellowship Hall is: M-F 9:30 p.m. and Saturday - 7:00 p.m. 

Candles: The church has a pair of floor standing candelabras which you may use for a fee of $25.00. The church has unity candle holders available at no charge, but you must furnish the candles if you plan to use them.

Tablecloths:  The UMW has TABLECLOTHS available for in-house usage for receptions.

Organist: The Church Organist, Thomas Marshall (757-229-8064) can provide organ music for your wedding and will be available for your rehearsal. His fee is $250.00. If Mr. Marshall is not available, he will supply you with a list of other organists to contact.

Vocal Soloists: Should you wish to have a soloist offer selections during your wedding, the service can be arranged for you. As in all music for weddings in the church, selections should have a sacred text. You can expect the fee to be from $100.00 to $150.00 depending on the number of selections you wish.
