Wilburton First United Methodist Church is located five miles south of beautiful Robbers Cave State Park, in Wilburton, Oklahoma. If you are visiting the park come and worship with us. If you live in the area please make your church home with us. The church was organized in 1895 and is now housed in a nicely air-conditioned building one block north of the U.S. Post Office in Wilburton. We are a warm and friendly church and we would love to have you join us Sunday morning for Sunday School and Worship!

School Classes Sunday School Classes for nursery through adult ages meet on Sunday mornings! Join everyone at 9:30 for a continental breakfast followed by classes at 9:45. Feel free to visit or join a class. Sunday School teachers rotate every 3 months. |
Worship
at First UMC The Worship Service is uplifting! The Music is inspirational! The message is always Bible centered, sensitive to spiritual needs that will help you and your family grow in a victorious relationship with Christ! Join us Sunday morning at 10:45 am. |
United Methodist Women The United Methodist Women (UMW) meet the 3rd Monday of the month at 5:30p.m. at the church. |
| Youth
Programs A Sunday School Class is provided for Junior High and Senior High youth. Daily principles of Christian living are taught in each class. UMYF, for 7th thru 12th grades, meets each Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the United Ministry Center east edge of EOSC campus. They enjoy food, fellowship, activities, service, and the Word. Invite someone! The activities of the UMYF are under the direction of the Youth Leaders and the Youth Council. |
Christian
Fellowship Each 4th Wednesday our congregation meets together in the fellowship hall at 6:00 p.m. for a fellowship Family Night Covered Dish Supper. VISITORS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME! It is a great time for us to get better acquainted with each other. |
United
Methodist Men The United Methodist Men (UMMen) meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:00p.m. in the church fellowship hall. After a meal, a short but excellent program and fellowship with the men of our church and other friends. |
| Children's Ministries Jesus' Kids is a bi-weekly, after school program where children from Kindergarten through 6th Grade enjoy crafts snacks, and Christian stories teaching them of the Love of Jesus. |
Bible Study Many of our Church family are busy studying their Bibles. Come join the fellowship and discipleship of Bible Study. All are welcome. |
Christian Concerts Our pastor, Barry Collins, is a fan of contemporary Christain music. If there is a Christian music artist in concert in the the area, Barry probably knows about it. If you enjoy contemporary Christian music, contact Barry and join the group headed to the next concert! |
| Church Camp Ministry Part of our summer time ministry is Camp Egan! Ask any child who has attended camp and the overwhelming response is "I can't wait to go again!" Consider going or sending someone to camp, offering transportation, or sponsoring a child... Summer 2008 Camp Dates |
Music Ministry Do you have a musical talent? Contact Stephen Brinlee. He is always looking for "a few good notes"! Choir meets Wednesdays at 7:00pm.. The Choir takes off for the summer months, following the school calendar. |
United Ministries Our pastor, Barry Collins, also serves as campus minister through the United Ministries on Eastern's campus. They provide a Wednesday noon meal, a weekly Bible course for humanities credit, and sponsor the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Loma Messex is faculty sponsor) and International Student Organization (Phil Hawthorne is faculty sponsor) on campus. | Vacation Bible School Our Vacation Bible School ministry could always use a storyteller, crafter, game leader, music person, or teacher. Surprise Loma Messex and volunteer early! Invite someone to attend! |
Visitation Ministry Another vital ministry is visitation. We all share in this ministry to invite others to our fellowship, to visit the ill, shut-in, or bereaved, etc. This is truly a ministry shared by the laity. Make a church visit! Ask the pastor how to help! |
Latimer County Food Bank Another ministry is the Latimer County Food Bank housed at our church and stocked by the community. Helpers are needed to sort and organize the food and to be on call to distribute it as needed. Call Barry Collins if you can assist. |
