Welcome to Whitney United Methodist Church Website. We are glad you chose this morning to visit us, so we could Share the Joy of Christ’s Love.
Whitney United Methodist Church has been a
vital part of the life on Boise's Whitney Bench for the past fifty-eight
years. When its first sanctuary was built in 1948, Boise had not
yet annexed the Bench. The church has grown over the years necessitating
a new building program, which is the diagram on the front page of our
site. It is a three phase program, with only the first phase so far
completed. After completing financial obligations on the first phase,
phases two and three will quickly be completed. Worship is very important at Whitney. We currently offer two worship times on Sunday morning and are looking to begin a third worship time which will probably be during the week in the evening. We love our visitors and always present a gift when they arrive. Communion is offered from our Lord’s Table each 1st Sunday of the month.
Our
Sunday school program is at 10:00 a.m. for children ages 4 years through
high-school as well as Adult Sunday school classes.
All classes are held in the education building, and will begin in
August, 2004, after a break for Summer.
The Church Nursery is located inside the Church Office, for parents with children, during each service, and during the Sunday school hour. Our
