Children are most comfortable in a warm and friendly environment that fosters security, but allows for individual growth. Children learn best through play and should reach individual levels of readiness before they can accomplish specific tasks. Children also need a wide variety of experiences on a daily basis, exposing them to the world around them, but always with the consistency and guidance of nurturing teachers.

•To accomplish our goals, we use the following curriculum methods:
–Both teacher and self-directed learning activities will be offered.
–A consistent, but not rigid, daily routine will be followed.
–Discipline will be handled with kindness and respect. Parents will be consulted
and informed on a regular basis and in case of special problems.

“Small Classes- Big Hearts”

Westover Preschool has been in operation since 1967. Our philosophy is based on children being most comfortable in a warm and friendly environment that fosters security but allows for individual growth. Westover is known as the school with "small classes and big hearts" and a dedicated and loving staff. Classes are held from 9:00am until 12:30pm, and we follow the Wake County Public School System traditional calendar. Our daily activities include computer skills, music and movement. Every child is special at Westover. The Preschool Board is extremely supportive as is the congregation of Westover United Methodist Church. The church pastor leads the preschool in Chapel once a month. Parents enjoy getting together after school for lunch on the church grounds while their children continue to play.
One's Class meets on Wednesday
Two's Class meets on Tuesday and Thursday
Three's Class meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Monday-Friday Four's Class meets on Monday through Friday Parent’s Morning Out is on Wednesdays.
Lunch Bunch is held every Wednescay from 12:45-1:45 PM

Fees

•There is a $100.00 non-refundable registration fee due at the time your registration is returned.
•One year old class is $90.00 monthly
•Two year old class is $130.00 monthly
•Three year old class is $160.00 monthly
•Four year old class is $200.00 monthly
•Transitional Class is $220.00 monthly
•Parent’s Morning Out is on Wednesday is $20.00 per session. Additional days may be arranged to fit your schedule. Fees and monthly charges will be changed when additional days are arranged •Lunch Bunch meets every Wednesday from 12:45-1:45 pm •Fees are subject to change.
