Children's Fellowship UMCF
Are you between 3 years old and 5th grade? If you are, we would LOVE to have you join UMCF. (United Methodist Children's Fellowship)

When do we meet? We meet once a quarter. Watch your newsletter for times/events.

What do we do? We have lots of fun while learning of God's love for us!!! We have the Back-to-School Bash, pizza & movie night, play games, do crafts, take field trips (we have been to museums, bowling, putt-putt, a farm, etc.) and go Christmas caroling. We have dinner and lots of great fellowship together at our meetings. We have also done some service projects, like collecting toys & making goody bags for children at the hospital, baking cookies for Kairos Ministry, and collecting pet food for the SPCA.

How can you join in on the fun?- Just come to our meetings! We would love to have you!!! If you have any questions, please contact Theresa Weybrew or Fran McDonald.

Montagnard Worship Services

The Degar (referred to by French colonists as Montagnard) are the indigenous peoples of the Central Highlands of Vietnam. The term Montagnard means "mountain people" in French and is a carryover from the French colonial period in Vietnam. In Vietnamese, they are known by the term thượng (highlanders) - this term can also be applied to other minority ethnic groups in Vietnam). Thượng is the Vietnamese adaptation of the Chinese "Shang" (上). Montagnard was the term, typically shortened to "Yard", used by U.S. military personnel in the Central Highlands during the Vietnam War.

Outside of Vietnam, Greensboro, NC is the largest population of the Degar.

Westover hosts weekly Sunday afternoon worship services, and has supported three families to bring their family members to the U.S. and locate housing, schooling, and jobs.

RUSSIAN SCHOOL

Westover hosts Saturday schools for Russians, recently moved to Raleigh. The teachers instruct in English.
