Children & Youth Sunday School

Each week, Sunday School is offered for all children and youth during the second half of the worship service.  Following a Time for Children during the regular worship service, children and youth are excused to attend their own Sunday School classes.  For more information, please contact, Director of Christian Education Rev. Sunday School News

We welcome everyone to the start of Sunday school!  It promises to be another  great year!  Classes will begin on September 13th .  WUMC  offers two elementary age classes.  The 1st is geared toward children in kindergarten through 2nd grade.  The second class is for 3rd through 6th graders. Both classes will be starting a 2nd year of study with "Rock Solid" curriculum by Cokesbury.  This fall the groups will continue to read from the old testament with stories from Genesis & Exodus, including Joseph & his "dream coat" and Moses and the Ten Commandments.  We are looking forward to another great year filled with music, crafts, games & stories to help reinforce our Bible lessons. ALL children are welcome!

Our youth class will  begin the second year of their curriculum "Jesus Christ for Youth", an in depth study of the life and teachings of Jesus.

Upcoming Activities
November - Lower and upper elementary students will gather for their own worship service once a month.  We will sing songs of praise, share joys and concerns, pray for one another and take an offering just like we do in the main sanctuary.  After 15-20 minutes of worship, the remaining time will be used for crafts and godly play.

Dec 6 - After worship, there will be a dress rehearsal for the Christmas Pageant

Dec 13 - During worship, we will hold our annual Christmas Pageant.  In addition to depicting the traditional manger scene, each Sunday school class will share something with the congregation that is meaningful for them around Jesus' birth.
