WELCOME TO WEST GROVE!

Small in size--big in love of the Lord!

West Grove is a small community on Highway 2, about nine miles southwest of Bloomfield, Ia. that is big in heart. We have only one church left in the community which is the West Grove United Methodist Church that was erected in 1903 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

In recent years all nineteen stained glass windows were redone by Hersey's Studio in Milton. The sunlight shines through our nineteen stained glass windows revive us each Sunday with their beauty and reminding us of all God's glory.

A ramp for handicapped accessibility was added in 2000.

We would like to get to know you and hope that you will get to know us, either by visiting our church or by returning to our ever-changing web site. We are a people who enjoy serving our Lord, working in ministry not only with each other but in our community.

Our theme "We Are Alive and Well" isn't just a fact, it is a spirit. We welcome the Holy Spirit into our lives just as we welcome everyone. Each person in our congregation enriches us and we rejoice in each other's abilities and by putting them together, we have a very special fellowship.

We feel we are a people who instead of saying, "Can we do it?", we pray and say, "How can we do it?"

We are proud of our heritage that began over a hundred years ago. But more importantly we are proud to serve our Lord and Savior.
