BYPU
B.Y.P.U. started in 1995. It offers us an opportunity to
provide some assistance to our church in obtaining items or services which are
not included in the church’s annual budget.
B.Y.U.P. is like Lagniappe (an unexpected gift or
benefit).
Many of us have jars or cans full of loose coins, we plan to
wrap and take to the bank, but, we never get around to it.
Why not give these coins to
Wesley?
B.Y.P.U. coins have been used in various ways. These coins
helped to pay for our Outdoor Bulletin Board, during Lenten Season, B.Y.P.U
helped to pay for the luncheon which followed the Wednesday midday services. The draperies in the Pastor’s
Study, the “Blue Room,” the Secretary’s office and the Overflow room ( gift from
the estate of one of our members), needed cleaning and repair after hanging for
several years and B.Y.P.U. funds were used to repair and clean the draperies.
Perhaps you can think of some church need that
B.Y.P.U. coins can meet. Won’t you consider Bringing Your Pennies Up?
Soon you will see containers in the Narthex for your coins. Please
watch for them.
Remember B.Y.P.U. is the second Sunday of the
month.

MUSIC MINISTRY
On behalf of the music ministry, I extend to you
greetings with the hope that the Lord's blessings have been with you.
The music ministry here at Wesley has had a very successful month lifting
our Lord up in song and dance. Our thanks and appreciation is extended
to all who shared their talents and time with us.
Our next combined event will be the Christmas Musical which will be a part
of the 10:00 service on Sunday, December 20th. The rehearsal schedule
for the combined choir will be November 5, 12, 17, and 24th. All rehearsals
will start at 7:00 pm. We ask for the complete cooperation from all
members of the ministry to make this effort a success.
The Wings of Praise will dance on the third Sunday in November and for the
musical in December. We pray for the success of our dance team and for their
director, Ms. Robbie L. Thomas.
Some time ago, there was a song that many choirs included our choir would
sing. The little of the song is "What if God is not happy with Our Praise".
The words of one of the verses says, "What if God is not happy with our
praise, what if He is not pleased with the words we say. What if He
takes away His love and His spirit from above? What if God is not happy with
our praise? Let us do everything that we can do to make sure that God
is happy with the work that we do in His name, and the praise that we offer
up to Him.
May God continue to richly bless you.

WESLEY OURTEACH MINISTRY
The committee came together and packaged items for people
who are homeless.
The kits include a toothbrush and toothpaste, combs, shampoo, toilet soap, wash
cloths, underwear, deodorant, lotion, etc. Meal tickets are also available
to them.
Thirty canvas kits were donated to the project which now bears the church name,
address, telephone number and the name of our ministers.
Contributions to the food pantry (H.O.P.E.) totaled one hundred and
thirty-six pounds for the month of October.
November is here again and we want to make this year's Thanksgiving Day meal
special for some needy families, in addition to our regular monthly giving.
You are asked to pray that we as a congregation, will demonstrate the Christ
within us as we extend His spirit of love and charity to those in need.
