BYPU
Are you tired of carrying around loose change? Do you have piles of loose change and are wondering what to do with it? You can bring your loose change and pennies to the altar during the altar call on the third Sunday of the month as we observe the Bring Your Pennies Up (BYPU) Sunday. These monies will be used for much needed repairs around the church. So if you have a penny please give a penny......can you spare some change!
MUSIC MINISTRY
Greetings to you from your ministry hear at Wesley. The month of October has come and gone but while it was here it gave the music ministry many opportunities to share their God given talents in the service of our Lord. The Male Chorus presented a forty five minute musical at the Cedercrest Baptist Church on Old Hammond on the third Sunday. We had a great time, the congregating from all indications enjoyed the music, and most of all, the presence of the Lord was felt by all. My thanks and appreciation are extended to all who made that effort a success and a special thanks to our pastor Goff and to the musicians who are always there when we need them.
November is here and it will also present not only opportunities to serve in our regular service, but occasion for our choirs and dance team to represent Wesley Church and our Lord outside of our normal and regular duties. The opportunities to share include:
the Wings of Praise will dance at the Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church for their regular service on the second Sunday of November.
the male chorus will accompany our Pastor, Rev. Goff, on the fourth Sunday of the month as he delivers the message at the St Luke United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm.
We are still asking that members of our ministry be reminded that rehearsals are very important and necessary for the growth of the ministry. When you are absent, you are missed and you have missed an opportunity to share God's gifts to you with us. Be a blessing to our Lord. He has and is blessing you.
