About Our Church

Wesley Welcome to the Wesley United Methodist Church web site!

Our church is located on the corner of 4th & Broad Streets in Nescopeck, Pennsylvania.

Wesley United Methodist Church is a community of faithful Christians serving the love of Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, service and giving.  We are a people called by our Lord to witness the grace and power of God through our lives.   We affirm the gospel of Christ boldly and without apology. We are a nurturing community of believers, who will provide spiritual growth and understanding of all. We want to do what Christ has called us to do and be imitators of His example.   Wesley has several ongoing programs which have been vital to the life of the Church as we meet the needs of the people:

  1. Cherub Choir, Sanctuary Choir and Wesley Bells 
  2. United Methodist Women 
  3. United Methodist Men
  4. United Methodist Youth
  5. Sunday School 
  6. Nursery
  7. Coffee Fellowship Hour
  8. Bible Studies
  9. Seasonal Studies
  10.  Family Programs
  11.  Vacation Bible School
  12.  Community Cupboard - Food give away program for the needy the second Tuesday of each month at 2:00pm
  13.  Narcotics Anonymous meets here every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7:00pm

Meet Our Parsonage Family

Rev. Rodney Miller (Pastor Rod) grew up in Lemoyne (Cumberland County).  Elizabeth (Betsy) Miller, his wife, grew up in Cogan House Township (Lycoming County).  Daughter Allison is entering ninth grade at Berwick Area High School in September.  Pastor Rod has been under appointment in the Central Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church since 1975.  He was recommended for the ordained ministry by Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, PA.  Pastor Rod has served congregations in Columbia, Lycoming, Clinton, Perry and Dauphin Counties.  He is a graduate of Ursinus College, University of Virginia, Princeton Theological Seminary and Geisinger Medical Center.  Betsy works at SCI - Retreat with the Board of Probation and Parole.
