The calendar for the school year will correspond to Richland County School District One for major holidays. In addition to that calendar, the preschool/kindergarten may have several teacher in-service days. On these days there may be no school and no extended care.

Purpose

The Wesley Memorial Preschool/Kindergarten operates as a part of the educational ministry of the church, convinced that God's continuing activity is best interpreted to children through learning and loving relationships between teachers and children and strengthening of family ties through home, school and church. Curriculum development  begins with the needs of individual children and teachers are facilitators in the teaching-learning environment. Activates are designed to enhance the social, intellectual, physical and spiritual development of participating children, as well as affirm the role of parents in teaching-learning experiences.

Wesley Memorial is a neighborhood church serving God and neighbor - making disciples of Jesus Christ. A very important part of our ministry is to children. We are dedicated to the development, enrichment, and formation of young persons and to the enrichment of their family life. This process of building is the focus of our preschool program. We have brought together knowledgeable professionals to accomplish this vitally important responsibility.
We are committed to doing all that we can to insure that your child experiences authentic Christian love and concern. We hope and pray that this program will be a channel of God's love through which your child - your family - may experience the grace of Almighty God.
In order to help this program reach its full potential, please be in continuing conversation with your child's teacher about all aspects of his or her development. Please keep us posted as to specific needs and concerns with which you feel we can assist you during your child's experience here at Wesley Memorial.
We invite you to become a part of our community of faith here. We are a vibrant, growing congregation. We are excited about what is happening here, and we would love to welcome you as a part of it. The Holy Spirit is welcome here, and so are you.
Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance. Thank you again for your trust and for your time and attention. May the God of hop fill you with all hope and joy in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
