History of Wesley McCabe United Methodist Church

Wesley McCabe is at once a very young church but with a long dual history.  The present church came into being on March xx, 1999.  The McCabe UM Chirch, located on Nelson Street, and the Wesley UM Church on Mobberly Avenue, merged to form the Wesley McCabe UM Church of Longview.  The merger.has been a happy one and the Wesley McCabe Church uses the facilities at 1115 Mobberly Avenue.  Although the "new" church is young in its merged organization, it still claims the historical heritage of both of the former organizations.  So, although the   church is "young", it also has a rich heritage-- it is a historical church of the city.
