Sierra Leone Water and Sanitation Project Update
In reviewing the work that the team has completed this year we will see how this ministry has assisted many people in different areas of the country. Several new wells provided water in the Bo area, while other areas they where able to restore sites that had been damaged during the war in some case just from the lack of use they wouldnt work and needed repaired.
At Rotifunk where we had provided 3 wells back in 1994 they were able to repair one of the sites by replacing a complete hand pump, at the UMC Central Primary school it required extensive concrete work as well as a new pump assembly. The list goes on some required more work then others, 9 needed complete new hand pumps all together. In all at least 12 wells where brought on line again assisting some 2500 hundred Sierra Leoneans as they try to rebuild their lives.
All of this at an investment of $20,467.34,or $8.00 per person of which we still need $9318.00 to balance our
Budget to date. This happens as Christians reach out to God's people that need you! So as you can see we need your help with prayers and finances. This work needs to continue for many years to come as we reach out to those in need. As we assist it is Math 25:40 comes alive in their lives as they experience the Love of God's people reaching out and showing that they are not alone in their struggle.
As we are writing the crew is at work digging and burying a 2-inch water line some 900 feet to a storage tank that will hold 1200 gallons of water. This from a Guma Valley water line in the area, at a cost of $5000.00 again the school kids and the people in the area will have source of quality water.
As you read this pray for the people in that country and the ongoing work of the team we have working there.

Sierra Leone Well Drilling Project
2003 Update
This is a report of the progress of the water project in Sierra Leone. The crew has been able to complete two hand dug wells, one in Yonibana and another in Moyamba District, bringing the number of wells to sixty. In May 2003 we were invited to assist in the development of the refugee camp for the Liberians in Tobonda, Sierra Leone. The planning agency is expecting 10,000 people at this site. The crews task was to develop 6 hand dug wells before the rainy season begins.

Now the work begins. The crew is loaded and ready to head to Tobonda to do their task. As you can see, they have the new molds that are needed to complete the hand dug wells.

| Ultimately, the drilled well is the best way to go for a better and continuous supply of good drinking water for the people. However, we still need funds for supplies and some tooling plus freight to get the rig over to Sierra Leone. |

So, how can we do this? The estimated cost of one complete well with water coming out the spout is $2,747. So, if we could fund 20 wells between now and the end of this year, that would bring in $54,940; enough to get the rig over with material to begin drilling.
Just remember, it has been your prayers and giving that has brought the project this far.

Twenty wells will impact 200 people per well for a total of 4,000. Matthew 25:40 Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethern ye have done it unto me.
