This is a lesson used at our men's encounter weekend

LOOK AROUND YOU, BROTHERS

Who is the person sitting next to you?

The person next to you is the greatest miracle and the greatest mystery you will ever meet...at this moment a testament of the Word made Flesh...of God's continuing Advent into the world, into our midst.

The person next to you is striving to become something in particular, to arrive at some destination and to be known and to know.  The person next to you believes in something, stands for something, counts for something, lives for something, labors for something, waits for something, looks forward to something.

The person next to you can never be fully understood.  He is more than any description or explanation.  He can never be fully controlled, nor would he want to be.  The person next to you is MYSTERY,  as the WORD MADE FLESH is mystery.  And the Word has been made flesh, and dwelt among us.

So brothers, look around you, for Jesus is here!
