Ingham East Habit for Humanity, Inc. has over ten applications from families in need of adequate housing and desperately needs donations of money and property.  IEHH hopes to complete its second home in 1999, but will need much help from the community to reach this goal.  Habitat for Humanity works with partner families to build homes with volunteer labor.  The family buys the home at cost with an interest free mortgage.

1998 CROP Walk: Once again we participated in the program started in 1948, originally to collect food from farmers for suffering nations around the world.  Now we walk for donations.  This year our church walkers collected $3340.  The steps taken and pledges collected will benefit overseas mission projects and local efforts to address the hunger issue.  Twenty five percent of the proceeds will be used to help support the local community food bank.  In addition to our church there were 17 other churches and organizations in the Webberville/Williamston area that participated.  CROP Walks in Michigan started in 1971 with 20 mile walks in Marne and Midland.

RedBird Red Bird Mission Projects:

Members of our church had a rewarding time working at the Red Bird Mission during the summer of 1998.  This is located in the Red Bird Missionary Conference of the United Methodist Church.  Then during the summer of 1999 several members of our church were privileged to work at another Red Bird Missionary Conference work camp located at the
Henderson Settlement. We have posted a pictorial report of this trip.
