Bristol Lodge Tater Tot Casserole Recipe
- Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
- Ingredients
- 18 lbs. burger (not too lean!)
- 5 onions, chopped
- 1 dozen eggs
- 1 quart milk
- 1 box quick oats (32 oz.)
- salt and pepper
- 8-10 cans of Campbell's Golden Mushroom soup
- 3-4 bags of Tater Tots (the biggest bag they sell - 3 lbs?)
- Directions
- Mix burger, eggs, milk, oatmeal, onions, salt and pepper in a big baking pan (your hands get cold!)
- When thoroughly mixed, divide and place as the bottom layer in flat bottomed pans
- Cover meat in pans with mushroom soup (middle layer)
- Sprinkle Tater Tots on top (top layer) - the Tater Tots are what everyone likes best, so consider getting an extra bag to fill things in
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 2 hours
- Salad (What's a Tater Tot Casserole without a salad?)
2 heads red or green leaf lettuce or romaine
2 heads iceberg
1 head red cabbage, shredded
2 lbs carrots, grated
1.5 lbs broccoli, cut into tiny bits
a few green or red peppers
24 oz bottle of Italian dressing (may not need to use the entire bottle, but 16 oz bottle might not be enough)
Chop up everything and put in a big, deep soup pot. Add dressing just before you leave for Bristol Lodge. We mix it all up with our hands (very messy!)
