Rev. Mike Clark, pastor
Rev. Mike Clark has been pastor of St. John's since 2002.

The first 20 years of Mike's ministry was spent in full-time peace and justice work. In the 1970s he served on the staff of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility of the National Council of Churches. In the 1970s and 80s he was Co-Coordinator of the Riverside Church Disarmament Program, working with the late William Sloane Coffin, Jr. During and following the contra war in Nicaragua Mike worked on the staff of Witness for Peace, including three years as Executive Director of their program in the US and Central America. On nine different occasions, he has been a Study Leader in Regional and Conference Schools of Christian Mission on peace and justice themes.
His work has taken him to 17 different countries over the last 30 years, including four recent trips to Venezuela to observe the ongoing social and economic changes underway there.

He lives in Watertown, MA with his wife, the Rev. Christine Elliott, and their four cats.


Kathryn Rosenbach, music director
Kathryn Rosenbach has been the Music Director for St. John's since 2004. Kathryn is known for her performances as a pianist, as well as choral conductor, composer and teacher. She was the Artistic Director for the Composers in Red Sneakers from 1994 until 2002. She has also been an active member of the chamber music community, playing with the Janus 21 Chamber Ensemble and the Avatar Ensemble. Her performances have included premieres of Nancy Van de Vate, Yehudi Wyner, Lejarin Hiller, and Marlos Nobre. Her teachers have included David Burge, Leo Smit, Guido Agosti, and Stephen Manes. Ms. Rosenbach has taught at SUNY/Buffalo, Nazareth College, the Longy School of Music, Simmons College, and is presently co-chair of the piano department, chair of the piano accompaniment department, teacher and chamber coach at the Powers Music School, as well as the MOTH summer chamber program. In addition, she has recorded for the BBC, NPR, and PBS. Ms. Rosenbach has produced two videos: “What Makes Music?” and “Explorations and Transformations.”

Amanda D'Amato, administrative assistant
Amanda D'Amato joined the staff at St. John's in 2005. She attended Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. Before coming to St. John's, Amanda worked in the law library at Boston University. After 3 years of holding a part-time position, St. John's has partnered with our friends at Belmont UMC to offer a full-time Office Manager position. This collaboration represents a new model allowing small local churches to attract and retain employees.
