Annual Mitten Drive for MSPCC
Throughout the month of November, we are collecting handmade and store bought mittens to benefit the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. They are looking for child sizes 3 to 8. There will be a basket in the back of the sanctuary for your donations. Thank you for contributing to a worthy cause!

I Believe in Jesus
Sunday November 1st through December 20th
9:30AM in the Parlor
This seven-week class will utilize Bishop Minerva Carcaño’s book I Believe in Jesus, published in 2008. Bishop Carcaño was the first Hispanic woman to be appointed a District Superintendent in the United Methodist Church, and in 2004 was the first Hispanic woman to be consecrated as a bishop in our denomination. Her book invites a serious commitment to Jesus of Nazareth as the cornerstone of the church’s life. Please plan to be part of this stimulating class.

Harvest Supper
Saturday, November 7th 6-9PM
You are cordially invited to our annual Harvest Supper. This has been a tradition at St. John’s for many years. Roast turkey and all the “fixins” will be provided and the rest of the meal is a potluck to which you are encouraged to bring your favorite dish. This is a great opportunity to connect with old friends, meet people who are new to the church, and enjoy an evening together.
Annual Charge Conference w/ Rev. Martin McLee
Tuesday, November 10th at 7:30PM in the Parlor
Rev. Martin McLee will be coming to St. John’s on Tuesday, November 10th. He will be visiting with the Staff-Parish Relations Committee at 7PM, and he will also preside over a charge conference where decisions about the coming year will be made. We will need to work together to once again put together a booklet of reports to give Rev. McLee an accurate snapshot of St. John's and the community. Please plan to attend!
