An Invitation...

"Where two or three are gathered in my name,
there am I in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:20).

Wherever persons intend to be Christ's body, the living Christ is there, supporting, rebuking, strengthening, sending forth. And so, there is learning. From this perspective, any place and any time in which there is an openness to the creative and redemptive love of God in Jesus Christ provides an occasion for teaching and learning.

Sunday School is essential in truly understanding and experiencing God's love for us all. Following are descriptions of the variety of classes offered to the family and friends of United Methodist Church of Waterbury. We encourage you to read carefully and find the class where you think you will best fit. Go by and visit; open arms await you!

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing... teaching..."(Matthew 28:19,20).

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Childcare and Nursery is available for infants through three year olds during worship service and Sunday School. As children turn four, they are encouraged to become part of United Methodist Church of Waterbury's worshipping family and attend services with their parents. The nursery rooms are staffed with loving and caring childcare givers.

Sunday School is taught by a group of warm, loving, and enthusiastic teachers using the Cokesbury curriculum as their base. Cokesbury curriculum provides lessons covering age appropriate stories from both Testaments. These stories, paired with carefully selected activities, help children develop a respect, love, and understanding of the Bible, as well as the desire to learn even more.

We urge you to become involved in the study, program, and ministry opportunities offered at United Methodist Church of Waterbury

The Wesleyan FellowshipThe Wesleyan Fellowship meets every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. The objective of this class is to study the Bible in a historical sense and learn about the people of the Bible and how they lived, and worshipped.

Disciple Bible ClassDisciple Bible Study is one of the more exciting and inspirational opportunities in the United Methodist Church today. It is an in-depth and formal study of Scripture which is designed to develop strong Christian leaders through regular committed study of the Bible.
