Block Party: Saturday, August 16
This year's Block Party is a cooperative effort of First Baptist Church,
Asbury United Methodist Church, Grace United Methodist Church, the Salvation
Army, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, St. Matthew's United Methodist Church,
The Presbyterian Church, and Washington Square United Methodist Church,
with the assistance of the Hagerstown Fire and Police Departments.
- 9:00 AM: Yard Sale, St. Matthew's parking area
- 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM: Grace UMC Youth Car Wash, AutoZone, Dual Highway
- 10:00 AM: Free school supplies for children, while supplies last
- 11:00 AM: Block Party
- Music, Dunk Tank, Bungee Run
- Food! Snowballs, Popcorn, Hamburgers, Hotdogs
- Fire Truck exhibition and information on smoke alarms
- City Police safety information
- Salvation Army World Service booth
- Other vendor booths
- Flea Market
- 7:00 PM: End of Block Party
- 8:30 PM: Free Movie Night at Grace United Methodist Church,
with free hotdogs and drinks
