Parish Nursing

Parish Nursing is a ministry within the church that focuses on the health and wellness of mind, body and spirit.

Some examples of this ministry include health education, health counseling, and providing resource information. At Washington Square United Methodist Church, we are currently doing blood pressure screenings monthly at our Meal of the Month Sundays, and plan to provide health education with monthly articles in our church newsletter, displays and bulletin boards, and one on one, or group counseling sessions. This program is supported by Washington County Hospital Association.
