Our Mission

Our purpose as a local congregation of the United Methodist Church is to be a community of Christians who seek to glorify Jesus Christ and to carry out God's mission as set forth by Christ in His final words to His disciples before he ascended to Heaven. These words, taken from Matthew 28:18-20, are as follows:

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Thus, as a congregation, our mission is to bring people to a vital relationship with Jesus Christ and membership in His family, to disciple them and help them grow in becoming more like Jesus, and to equip them for their ministry in the life of the Church as well as their mission in the world, so that we can bring honor and glory to God's name.
