Do not wait to shed your light afar, To the many duties ever near you now be true, Brighten the corner where you are. —Ina Duley Ogdon, 1913 You are invited to worship with us at Washington Square United Methodist Church, located at 538 Washington Avenue in Hagerstown, Maryland, hoping to "make of all disciples" and bring honor and glory to God's name. We are a traditional congregation, founded in 1885, with a comfortable and familiar Sunday worship service. We have Sunday School classes for adults and children; United Methodist Men and United Methodist Women groups for fellowship and community service; a Parish Nurse who provides health education and blood pressure screenings; and other activities and missions to serve God and the community. As part of the Safe Sanctuaries program of the United Methodist Church, we have background checks on file for all paid church staff, and all volunteers who work with children. Sunday Morning Schedule
