Welcome to our church! Summer worship has returned to the 10 a.m. hour.

There is a place for you here. A place where you can be yourself, seek God, ask questions, grow in faith and spirit, nurture your family, connect with others, and reach out to those in need. Here, you can find your path and share the journey of faith with a loving, welcoming church community. As a church family, we aspire to become the people God has created us to be--people of joy, healing, compassion, grace, and love!

Dear Friends:

This time of year always seems to be a mixed bag. The weather changes, the days are getting longer and we find ourselves transitioning into a new time of life yet once again. As a church family springtime is also a time of change and transition.

There are many events and experiences that are being offered this year that I am excited about, and I hope you will make the commitment to come and participate in our community. This year we are beginning with the Worship + 2 challenges. Worship +2 is the belief that we grow and mature in our faith the most deeply when we engage in worship, education, and service to others (mission). This year the transforming team and I encourage you to take the Worship + 2 challenge and join us as we grow closer to God and one another.

I am excited for what lies ahead, and hope that you will consider joining us as we strive to become the people God calls us to be. It is a pleasure to be your pastor and to share year number three with you! I look forward to that which awaits us. We journey forward!

Peace and Blessings, Pastor Denise

Ongoing Events

Blankets for Iraqi Children Project.
The members of the church along with the Washougal community sent 94 hand made fleece blankets to Iraq for the children. They were handed out to parents and children in the International Zone by a member who is working there at this time. We will continue this project ongoing and open our church to anyone who would like to contribute to this or participate. ***UPDATE*** Again the community pulled through and along with the members of WUMC produced another 342 blankets and sent them to Baghdad for the children of Iraq.

Children’s Sunday School
Children's Sunday School began a study of the "Fruits of the Spirit" in September. It will be an engaging session each Sunday with the opportunity for children ages 4-12 to engage in Bible Study, activities and crafts highlighting the Fruits of the Spirit: love, peace, goodness, joy, gentleness, temperance and meekness.

Heartfelt Quilters Group
The Heartfelt Quilters, a church and community group that gathers to make quilts for Foster Children in
Clark County. They will meet on the second Monday of each month. All are invited to join this group for a time of quilting, fellowship and a good lunch. As is often said, "If you can tie your shoe, you can quilt." Come join us. Questions? Contact Cleta Gilman at 360-835-5132 or call the church at 360-835-3494.

3rd Sunday of each month (8:00am) Men's Breakfast.
Monthly Men's Breakfast. Each month our Men's Group gets together for a full breakfast at the Church. Our goals as a Men's Group are to
1. Decide what projects we can commit to both for the Church, such as our current projects of renovating the offices and making our upstairs bathroom accessible and projects within the community such as providing yard work to aging local residents.
2. Any money raised at the breakfast is used to pay for our childcare workers.
3. To provide mentorship to each other as we have a mix of young and old.

Last Sunday of the month (5:30pm)
Family Night Potluck and
Mission . Location changes please check with Denise.
