	The mission of the congregation of Washington Street United Methodist Church is
		to develop a maturing faith in God, our source of strength and salvation, as we nurture one another and all who would worship with us;
		to reach out to all people in spiritual and physical need, following the example set forth in the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; and
		to deepen our awareness of the Holy Spirit, God with us and within us, as a guide in our daily lives.
