Some Personal Notes on Rev. Naugle
Chuck comes to us after a long and valued ministry in the Wyoming Annual Conference (comprised of the Northern Tier of New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania.) He and his former wife are proud parents of a son, Paul, presently living in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania with his wife, Carol, and sons Parker and Cooper; and a daughter, Holly, living with her husband, Aaron, in Stewartstown, Pennsylvania. They are expecting their first child on New Year’s Eve. (Some celebration that will be!) Chuck was born in Dothan, Alabama and his mother lives near Macon, Georgia -thus he is well acquainted with black-eyed peas, butter beans and banana pudding. He grew up, however, in southern Pennsylvania (Middletown) and went to college in Williamsport, PA (Lycoming College). His Theological Seminary years were spent at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Part of his experience there included a one year hospital chaplain residency at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He has served a variety of pastorates, both rural and city and been involved in many Conference duties, including the Board of Ordained Ministry and leading summer bicycle camps for the Conference. When not doing church work, Chuck has found much pleasure in cycling, hiking, photography, gardening and golf. He is looking forward to exploring North Central Connecticut and the greater Hartford area. Still having to pack his belongings as this is being written, he anticipates moving here on June 27th and beginning his ministry with us on July 1st. His first worship service will be on July 4th. He offers his gratitude to those who helped him unload his truck and made his initial days here easier by their well-wishes and care.
