Welcome to the Washington East District of the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. As shown on this map, Washington East is one of nine districts in the Baltimore-Washington Conference. We are made up of diverse congregations with a common mission: to worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ and to follow His command to love and serve one another. We are seventy-four congregations in Prince George's, Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary's Counties in Maryland. Our Church welcomes all persons to participate in the programs and services of each of the congregations. Our theme is "Open Minds, Open Hearts, and Open Doors".

The churches of this District are large and small, have a variety of worship styles, and provide a wide variety of Bible studies and educational forums to which you are invited. Options for times of worship are many and I encourage you to contact or check the Internet for times of worship, services and studies in the different congregations. The pastors of these congregations are available, not only to the members, but to the community. The United Methodist Church has a global outreach in work and mission that is reflected in the District and local congregations.
