Rosie first started singing in public in 1991 at the
Central Baptist Church, Whitesboro, Texas where she and husband Terry
are active members. With the support and encouragement of Terry, pastor
Dr. Joe Patterson, and close friends Johnny and Nelda Flanagan, Rosie
began singing more often and at places other than her church.
Rosie has served the Lord most of her life but in 1994 she asked the Lord
to just overflow her cup and use her any way that He could. Rosie committed
to walking through any door of service that the Lord opened. Shortly after
that Rosie and Terry began their music ministry on a local level.
Since that time the Lord has expanded the ministry and Rosie has been privileged to sing in many churches, of a variety of denominations, just uplifting the name of Jesus. As part of their music ministry they travel to several convalescent homes each month and Rosie sings at many funerals. Rosie has truly been gifted with a beautiful voice and a humble spirit. Her motto has always been, "From her, to you, for Him." Every time and everywhere Rosie sings, whether it be for two or three or many hundred, she is singing for the Lord. The Lord has really blessed the music ministry and has opened many doors. Rosie is also available for special events, such as concerts, retreats, and banquets.
Although the Lord has not gifted Terry to sing with Rosie he is a big part of the music ministry and travels with her. Because of his full time job as a police officer, their travel is sometimes limited. Terry does all of the promotion, booking, driving, sound equipment, and most anything else that needs to be done. Rosie sings with quality sound tracks and they have all of the sound equipment necessary for any setting large or small.
At their home, 'The Place', near Sherman, Texas, Terry and Rosie along with Johnny and Nelda Flanagan, host a nationally known program called, "Gospel Music TEXAS Style." The show runs on the second and fourth Friday of the month May through October. Since the beginning of the program in 1999, there has been great talent from several states joining Rosie and the Flanagan's in singing God's praises, on the gazebo at 'The Place'. They never charge a fee because they believe that the Lord will supply their needs through love offerings or donations. They do reserve Sunday's and Wednesday evenings for church services and are able to worship God in any church setting where the Spirit of the Lord is at work.
