Men’s Group and Bible Study

Join us any Wednesday night from 6:45—8:00.  Three weeks each month are spent in Bible study, and the fourth in service work activities and planning.  The men’s group meets in an upstairs room at the back of the church.  You do not need to register in advance to attend; just show up!  For more information, contact Mark Beard at 862-1922.

Get Involved

Ladies’ Group and Bible Study

A dynamic and enthusiastic group meets each Wednesday at 6:45 pm for Bible study and/or a challenging book study and lively discussion.  The group meets in the youth room in the church basement; join in any time!  For more information, contact Mary Huber at 536-9541.

Children/Youth

Classes for all ages every Sunday morning at 9:15.  Special activities on Sunday nights.  Children are welcome on Wednesdays when parents are meeting with Men’s or Ladies’ groups; supervision is available.  For more information, call the church office at 862-2863.

Volunteer

Help with Guest Services (coffee, greeting, offering); join a praise team; participate in drama or other parts of our worship service; or work behind the scenes to set up for services.  Ask any Guest Services team member (wearing the badge on Sunday mornings) to connect you.

Prayer Cards

Find these in the back of the pews.  Fill one out and place it in the offering, or ask Guest Services to connect you with a pastor.  To contact a pastor now, click here:  wakarusaumc@verizon.net.

Invite a Friend

Our worship services are friendly and informal; no rituals to learn, people to impress, or experience required.  The 8:30 service is especially designed to be welcoming to those who are new to attending a church.  At the 10:00 service, participants enjoy traditional hymns and worship experiences.

Wednesday Dinner & Worship

At 5:50 pm each Wednesday evening, a light supper is shared.  This is followed by a prayer time and brief Bible study.

Senior Bible Study

At 2:00 pm each Wednesday afternoon, a senior Bible study meets at the church.  All are welcome to participate.

United Methodist Women

On the third Wednesday of each month, all women are invited to bring a sack lunch and participate in fellowship and activities to support the church and community.

Annual Mission Trip to Kentucky

Our church has formed a sister church relationship with the Lower Beech Fork United Methodist Church in the Red Bird Conference of the United Methodist Church.  Each year we send a team to this church to help support the people in the economically depressed area.

Sunday Evening Youth Fellowship

During the school year, Middle School and High School youth meet weekly on Sunday evening for fellowship, study and fun.  During the summer, the group meets once a month.
