Village United Methodist is located north of the McNab Road extension and south of
Southgate Blvd. on Rock Island Road. We are on the west side of the roadway. When
approaching from the south, it is necessary to make a U-turn on Rock Island Road.
You can get there via any major expressway.
I-95
From I-95, exit on the "Cypress Creek" west exit. (This road becomes the McNab Road extension at
W. 31st Avenue.)
Head west until you reach Rock Island Road (After State Road 7), turn right and head north
to the church. The building will be on the left. If you get to Kimberly Blvd.,
you've gone too far.
From the Florida Turnpike
The best bet for the Turnpike is to exit at Commercial Blvd.
Go west(to the right), passing back over the expressway, until you reach Rock Island Road.
Then go north to the church. (see the directions above)
It is a bit of an overshoot for people coming from the north, but the next exit
north is really out of the way.
The Sawgrass
The Sawgrass is much like the Turnpike, except in reverse. Exit at Commercial Blvd. and go east.
At Rock Island Road, turn left and go north to the church. (See the directions for I-95)
Again, it is an overshoot for folks coming from the north.
Surface Roads
University Drive
University Drive is west of the church. From the south, take McNab Road east to Rock
Island Road, or from the north, Southgate Blvd. to Rock Island and head south.
State Road 7
State Road 7 is just a little east of the church.
From the south, take McNab Road west to Rock Island Road, from the north Kimberly Blvd.
It might be easier to take Kimberly when coming from the south to avoid the strange
interchange to McNab and the U-turn on Rock Island.
Rock Island Road
Rock Island Road runs from Oakland Park Blvd. on the south to Wiles Road on the north.
