Although this is Pastor Burnistons’ first appointment as a licensed local pastor, she has most recently served the Green Village United Methodist Church as part of her pastoral training through Drew University.
She will complete her Master of Divinity degree at Drew University this fall. Pastor Burniston has also completed a clinical pastoral education program at the Boggs Center for Developmental Disabilities and has special interests in disability theology. She lives in Maplewood with her husband and three daughters.
The history of the church, written with assistance from Fred Miller and using pictures and some text from Robert L. Williams' book Images of Old Verona and other historical materials available at the Verona Library, is available by clicking here.
