Men of Vermontville

United Methodist Church

The men of the Vermontville United Methodist Church play a vital role not only in the church but also in the community.  Some of the organizations and activities are listed on the Calendar page.  Perhaps the most important and the most enjoyable is the Community Breakfast.  This is fully prepared by the men of the church and is open to the everyone for a freewill donation.  The men cook, serve, clean up and have wonderful fellowship all at the same time.  For a great time, lots of laughs, and an excellent home cooked breakfast come join the men of Vermontville United Methodist Church.

United Methodist Women       

The purpose of the United Methodist Women has always been missions around the world and at home.

Each year we, at V.U.M.C. have a study book used at each meeting.  We keep in touch with the church family members who are sick, hospitalized or unable to attend worship for other reasons.  We invite other women into our fellowship. We share our belief in Jesus Christ and what he would want each of us to be as one of his followers.

In November we hold our annual bake sale and mini-bazaar here at the church.  We set up our wares and display the quilt that has been made that year for the "drawing".  Hours of fellowship and fun have been put into the quilts and are the highlight of the event.

You can imagine why this event may draw a crowd. (each year the quilt will be different)  This is the only fund raising event that is held by the U.M.W. at Vermontville.   Additional activities that we are involved with include:

• Collecting canceled stamps.
• Campbell Soup Labels
• Pop Tabs from cans.

Each of these collections is then forwarded to projects sponsored by the Methodist Church.
