MORE DETAILS RE: SPIRITUAL LEADERS ACADEMY:
Than has been attending the Spiritual Leaders Academy this week in Kentucky at Asbury Seminary. The three-fold purpose of the academy is clearly what the Vergennes UMC needs:
1. In-depth spiritual formation in the Wesleyan tradition [living by covenant]
2. The power of team-based leadership and ministry [building a leadership team]
3. Radical discipleship for the local congregation [equipping the saints for ministry]
ANNUAL CHURCH CONFRERENCE TO BE HELD NOV. 2 : The Annual Church Conference for Vergennes will be held on Wednesday, November 2 at 7 PM at the Northlawn United Methodist Church on Fuller near Three Mile Rd. Everyone is invited. Our PPR meets with the district superintendent (DS) prior to the conference segment of the meeting that includes the Plainfield, Northlawn and Vergennes United Methodist Churches.
