Valley Vista will begin a Confirmation Class on Sunday, March 19th, from 9:30 to 10:15 am. The class will meet for ten weeks.

The class is open to youth who want to learn more about the Church. Following the class you can decide if you want to join the Church. Please call the Church office, 303 429-7181, if you would like more information, or if you would like to participate.

ENDOWMENT COMMITTEE

A voiding probate or minimizing estate taxes at death requires proper planning. The gifts you make in your Estate Plan can carry on your charitable support after your death. Don’t wait to have your Estate Plan prepared. None of us knows when his life will end. Prepare your Estate Plan now and be sure that your estate planning documents are properly prepared. A home–made Will can result in unnecessary expense and delay. A gift to the Church through your Estate Plan is a testimony to

your faith and the confidence you have in the ministry of your Church.

30 PIECES OF SILVER

A

s far back in the Old Testament as Exodus, in the Jewish Community, thirty silver shekels was a common standard for services rendered and redemption for misconduct and irresponsible acts. In Zechariah 11:12-13, it was prophesized that the Lord ‘s worth would be valued at 30 pieces of silver.

In Matthew 26:14-15, the prophecy is fulfilled partly when Judas "sells out" Jesus for "thirty pieces of silver."

The "Thirty Pieces of Silver" pre-sented to the Altar on Palm Sunday should be considered a symbol and expression of the services that Jesus has afforded us for the mere accept-ance of his Grace.

On March 12th, the "Thirty Pieces of Silver" banks will be available in the Narthex for daily or periodical deposit of your coins during the Lenten Season. On Palm Sunday, April 16th , your gifts can be presented at the Altar.
