Luminaria

The Spanish word

Luminarias refers to lights of various styles placed in windows, dressing up buildings, streets and paths directing the way to festive celebrations.

Hundreds of sacks, sand and candles will create an aura around our Church and grounds the evening of December 17, framing the "Live Nativity," celebrating the birth of the Christ Child in the age old tradition of the Southwest.

Everyone (adults and children,

members and friends) is invited to honor and remember loved and revered ones by writing the name on a paper sack so the name will be outlined by the candle light shining through.

Obtain as many sacks as needed between and after church services December 3, 10, and through Saturday, December 16. Mark your sacks and place your donation in one of the Luminarias" envelopes. All sacks should be returned by noon Saturday the 16th. Contributions will be used

to support Conference Wider Missions.

Volunteers are needed to place luminaries Saturday, December 16th and also, for lighting candles from 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 17th. You may call 303 428-4303 or 303 429-7181 for additional information.

God’s Unseen Presence

God is the wind upon my face

I feel but cannot see.

God is the very air I breathe

And that gives life to me.

God is the sunshine and the rain

That turns the earth so green.

God is present everywhere

E’en though He is unseen.
