RACHEL LOW CIRCLE NEWS

Would like to share some of what the circle has been doing of late.

Our monthly meetings usually open with a devotion and update on what the United Methodist Women unit has done previously.

As a circle, we are a part of the unit and support its programs,

projects and outreaches such as Warren Village and Denver Urban Ministries. In addition, we also have our own special interest projects. From the inception of our circle, we have had particular interest in topics pertaining to women and children and have "Alternatives to Domestic Violence" as one for whom we make child size quilts (to date have given 50 quilts), collect personal care items, diapers, and non-perishable foods.

We also help the church by provid-

ing "extra hands" when needed. For example, we helped the finance committee by folding sacks used for Christmas luminaries.

The circle would like to have someone who can child sit from about 10:20 to 11:40 a.m. on the

second Wednesdays. If you can or know of someone who could, would you please call the church office?

ANNUAL CHURCH CONFERENCE

February 13, 2000

1:00 p.m.

Due to changing conditions and boycott of the Stewardship Drive for the operating budget, variations of criteria used in developing the budget for year 2000 are being used.

At Church Conference, Church members will be asked to vote their opinions on several issues to determine a consensus of the congregation. If you don’t participate, your viewpoint, even though it is important to you and may be others, is moot.

Attend Sunday Services on February 13th, join the pot luck immediately after second service, attend Church Conference at 1:00 pm and let your opinion be heard.
