What good is a penny?

Today you can’t buy anything for a penny. Penny postcards have gone the way of the dinosaur —

penny candy is just a memory. Even penny whistles cost several dollars now and penny arcades have turned into huge amusement parks.

But put enough pennies together

and you can accomplish some-thing. That is what the Sunday School students plan to do during the month of February. We will be collecting pennies after each service and we hope to have enough to donate to help children and families in poorer countries.

Won’t you help us? Clean out your wallet, your purse. Search through the kitchen junk drawer.

How about that jar of pennies you’ve been meaning to take to the bank? Save your change each week and bring those pennies to church with you. We’ll do the rest.

And just in case you have other coins to donate.....we’ll be glad to add them to our collection. Thanks.
