National Missions

In addition to Española Valley and Northern New Mexico, Valley View is involved in missions that cross the nation.

United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR) - UMCOR serves both national and international needs. It helps during disasters such as Katrina and the more recent hurricanes that have hit the US as well as other national disasters. Valley View

Make-A-Wish Foundation - Each August Valley View helps families with terminally ill children who have dreams they want to experience before they die. One of our congregation, who has been part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, explains the program and we take an offering to help the organization.

The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation - The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the search for the cause of and cure for childhood brain tumors. Each year there is a motorcycle Road Ride to raise money for PRTF. The next road ride for New Mexico will be May 31, 2009 in Albuquerque, N.M. One of Valley View members has a church dinner to raise money for the ride and then goes to Albuquerque and takes children with brain tumors on a ride.

Souper Bowl of Caring - This is the nation’s largest youth-led weekend of giving and serving. On Super Bowl Sunday Valley View takes a collection of money and food, as do organization across the nation. Of the money and food collected, 100% goes directly to needs in the community.
